Lucas decided to paint his cheeks marker blue. I got frustrated and scolded him. Once I'd washed his face, I realized I should have taken a picture and posted it. In a few years' time, I will laugh.

Why a motherland blog?
Because I have never experienced such intense, all-consuming, eye-opening and humbling emotions as the ones that come with motherhood.
Because I never thought it would be such a crazy, crazy roller-coaster ride.
